I am. Mythfrontend is bit too heavy for me. I did some trial with running windows version on wine, but couldn't get it working. I would be interested in running tapeworm in Ubuntu and using vlc as a mediaplayer. As was said in web page with python this could be more like packaging issue. Currently, tapeworm uses only gstreamer and only some of my video files will play, based on mysterious encoding settings. I've tested many different media players and vlc is the only one that plays all broken mythtv recording files. As we know when broadcasts happen over the air, there are sometimes errors in files. When all other players have failed playing a mythv file vlc have worked for me without any additional settings. If I understood right the configuration instructions there is a possibility to choose media player binary started by tapeworm?
